i am here to tell you that you are all wrong—
that what you refer to as planemos (despite all planets
technically falling under that term)
no matter how lonely you claim them to be,
are the opposite of what you force them into.
they call them rogue planets;
or interstellar planets,
nomad planets,
free-floating planets—
sometimes orphan planets (but we all know how
these stars are not our parents but our destruction,
forcing us into a dance that ultimately ends in our
burning and their death)
sometimes they're ejected from a solar system
(you cannot force me to dance)
and sometimes they are never gravitationally bound
to a star or brown dwarf
(i dance alone and as long as i say i can)
there isn't a star to outshine them.
there isn't a place where they don't belong
and i'm telling you it's okay to be alone,
to have a gravity unattached to something larger
i'm here to tell you that your head is with the nebulas
that you're overthinking this life
that it's okay to not understand.
(you burn bright like magnesium
and collapse like a dying star)

looking inward
And then the day came
The day my mind opened
Just the smallest of a break
So that I could see inside my own thoughts,
As if I were an outsider looking in.
And what I discovered
Was truly disturbing...
A Pandoras box
Of jumbled thoughts
Of half planned ideas.
This tiny crack revealed
A child's misunderstanding
Of what was true
And what was not.
I saw that I allowed others
To control my every action
My every thought
As if they owned me.
I saw how I let others lead me/use me.
How I trusted so easily
To totally trust
Without reason. I saw the people I had let into my life
I saw them as they really were
Life suckers who had almost drained

Howl
Tonight is a full moon
and in a car with closed windows, this could be any shit-kicking town
the man next to me is any other lumberjack
the girl in my seat is another small town misfit chasing an escape
we are riding West
toward stars
and nothing
but distance
and oblivion
my Howl chokes inside
the urge to strip naked and run
through trees, past neighborhoods, over bridges, and down streets
to the ocean
to return
to be baptized again
and again and again
until the salt and piss and whale semen eat away at this,
armor of jaded cynicism
to lie in the freezing midnight shallows
naked as we come
until my skin is raw and flushed
until my wits a

Celestial
The stars are within us;
Their light still glowing brightly -
in the interconnections
of the elements they've birthed.
I smile playfully and say,
I can hopscotch from our Earth -
onto the neighboring moons of other planets;
Their weightless bodies -
dipping beneath my feet.
One day, we'll leave this solar system -
Once the spark of our sun burns out.
And we'll make the long journey,
beyond the Milky Way Galaxy -
before Andromeda's appetite,
Engulfs it whole.
Then we'll dance in the -
vacuum of space;
Floating and spinning with ease.
The eyes of the stars, sparkling,
in delight at our antics.
And I would chuckle and say,

Not only one of my favorite pieces you've done, it's one of my favorite pieces of poetry on this entire site. Your way with world is something else, absolutely astounding. The meaning and way you show it and just... Ah, wow. Fantastic. Such a clear picture and your word choice is perfect. Interstellar job.
